Oman: Qatari company SARCO has committed to establishing a state-of-the-art logistics centre worth $50 million (OMR19 million) in Oman’s Khazaen Economic City. The logistics centre will span an area of 37,000 square meters.

It will offer comprehensive storage and distribution services to SARCO. SARCO (Al Seeb Technical) is a prominent business entity operating in Qatar and the GCC region.

A subsidiary of the well-established conglomerate Al Mana Holding, SARCO boasts a diversified portfolio across sectors such as retail, distribution, trading, contracting, and real estate. Moreover, the company has a prominent presence in marketing, sales, and distribution.

The cumulative investment in Khazaen Economic City has exceeded $500 million, covering a wide range of sectors, such as logistics, food, industry, pharmaceuticals, energy, and residential developments.

Khazaen Economic City represents the beneficial collaboration between Oman’s public and private sectors, aiming to establish an integrated economic development zone. The city brings together diverse logistics, light industrial, and commercial businesses in one location, maximizing efficiency, growth, and economic value.

Within the economic city, several strategic projects are taking shape, including the Khazaen Dry Port and Food City. The Food City encompasses the Khazaen Central Fruits and Vegetables market, while the Pharma City and Labour Villages also contribute to the city’s overall vitality.

Furthermore, the economic zone will integrate railway networks, enhancing connectivity within the region and facilitating seamless transportation and logistics operations.
