Kuwait: In a recent ceremony at the Austrian embassy in Kuwait, Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Kuwait-Austria Friendship Business Association, emphasized the importance of the strong and multifaceted bilateral relations between Kuwait and Austria.
These friendly relations between the two countries, he highlighted, have flourished in various sectors and through diverse forms of trade exchange, reflecting the shared ambitions of both nations and bolstering the business sector while building commerce between the two countries, all in line with the ambitions of their workforce.
During the ceremony, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah took the opportunity to extend his warm congratulations to His Excellency Karl Nehammer, the Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, on the occasion of Austria’s National Day. This event marked a return to its customary grandeur after two years of restrictions, which had cast a shadow on the celebration. This annual tradition, dating back to 1965, remains a significant milestone, celebrated every October 26.
Additionally, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah conveyed his heartfelt felicitations to the Austrian Ambassador to Kuwait, Marian Wrba, and the dedicated embassy staff. In turn, they stressed the essential role of the business sector and its substantial contribution to fortifying the bilateral relations between the two friendly nations. Additionally, they praised the continuous efforts to improve both countries’ understanding of increased cooperation in business, thus strengthening friendly relations between their governments and citizens.
Addressing the investment landscape, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah noted that Kuwaiti investment and capital are actively seeking an attractive environment that offers simultaneous development opportunities and security. In this regard, he lauded the Republic of Austria for extending a welcoming hand in this realm.
Furthermore, he expressed gratitude towards the political leadership of the Republic of Austria for maintaining an honourable stance towards Kuwait.
