Oman: Galfar Engineering & Contracting, an Oman-based construction and infrastructure development company, secured a significant contract worth $137 million (OMR 53 million) from Muscat Municipality.
The project, officially known as the “Dualization of Al Ansab Al Jafnain Road”, aims to upgrade the existing road to three lanes in each direction, stretching from Falaj Al-Sham in Bausher to Al-Jafnain in Seeb. This infrastructure initiative is designed to enhance traffic flow, promote economic development, and reduce travel distances across the region.
The road dualization project is expected to play a pivotal role in improving transportation infrastructure in the area, resulting in smoother and more efficient traffic movement. It will not only benefit the local population but also foster development activities between different governorates, ultimately contributing to regional growth.
Galfar Engineering & Contracting expressed its gratitude to Muscat Municipality for entrusting them with this vital project. This partnership signifies the confidence and trust placed in Galfar, reflecting its established reputation for delivering quality construction and engineering solutions.
The project is anticipated to be completed by mid-2026, and it represents a significant step in enhancing the region’s infrastructure and connectivity. As it progresses, the Road Dualization project is likely to unlock new opportunities for economic development and improve the overall quality of life for the residents of Oman.
In addition to the road dualization project, Galfar recently completed the refurbishment of the southern runway at Muscat International Airport. This project was executed as per the global standards and on schedule. The successful completion of this project is expected to have a substantial impact on both local and international air traffic, further demonstrating Galfar’s commitment to infrastructure development in Oman.
Galfar Engineering & Contracting’s continued success in securing and executing such projects underscores its expertise and dedication to the development of critical infrastructure in the Sultanate of Oman.
